Adapted Scene from "Cruel Faces . . ."

Dimensions: about 9 x 13 inches
Materials:
Multimedia paper, 2H pencil, black ink pen, alcohol markers, white ink pen.
Ideas:
-
Show Eclipse as she enters the Crystalline City for the first time.
-
I wanted to capture the size, grandeur, and crowdedness of the city.
Processes
I'm actually quite pleased that I was able to finish this and not need Krita for any sort of rendering! Yes, Ecliipse's facial markings were still a pain in the butt to draw, but at a certain point, I just had to say, "You know what? It actually looks fine. Stop messing with it. Symmetry does not exist naturally!" I also figured out how to use the properties of the white Ink pen to my advantage to add texture to the scenery! As for the color of the crystals, I feel like I finally got the "firefly hue" across. I was worried about Warbringer standing out too much, so I had to use green to mute the red a little bit. I chose a slanted angle for the perspective to make the scene more dynamic.
